具备支持暗光（Dark）型能力，功耗更低、切换速度更快等特性。硅基VOA阵列器件内部为全固态芯片，具有百纳秒级的响应速度，八通道单片集成，功耗低，满足光传输、光传感系统对光衰减器高速响应、小型化、高可靠的需求。其响应速度比传统VOA提升4个数量级，达到100ns级，使WDM光网络中光功率快速控制成为可能。此外，其低的光损耗可满足民用光网络应用要求，的集成度有助于大幅度减小模块尺寸，纯固态波导芯片使其具备的可靠性。
